By-election in Thiksay constituency to be held on June 4

THIKSAY :
By-elections in the Thiksay constituency will be held on June 4, the government vide SRO 186 issued a notification on April 23 to elect new councillor for Thiksay constituency, LAHDC.
Nominations will be accepted till May 15 and they will be scrutinised the next day. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is May 18 and votes will be counted on June 7.
The seat has been lying vacant since January 29, 2018, after the demise of Late Dr. Sonam Dawa, CEC who represented the constituency as well.
In pursuance of Rule 12 of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (Election) Rules, 1995, the following dates are fixed:
