BJP, Leh organized a grand welcome for him at Leh Airport to BJP Office, Leh on 13 March. Later at his residence Women wing of BJP and other members of BJP organized a Culture programme and honored him with Khataks and congratulated him on being elected as minister for State Cooperative.

On the occasion, Chhering Dorje (Lakrook), Minister of State for Cooperative and Ladakh Affairs thanked all the BJP workers for arranging such a grand welcome for him. Since he got elected as MLC his supporters congratulated him via Radio Station Leh and also through other media. He also added that after his tour to Leh, he will be going back to Jammu again and assured that he will be appointed as a Cabinet Minister as soon as possible. He also assured that he serve the people of Ladakh during his tenure and performed his duties sincerely and with full determination. 

He also highlighted about the Cooperative Department and his position as a minister of State for Cooperative. The Cooperative Department is very vast and the Zamindari work is mostly operated by this department. There are many Cooperative Bank in India and in Jammu and Kashmir there are more than 100 branches of Cooperative Bank which are successfully operating different kind of task.

 At the end Ven. Lobzang Nyantak BJP congratulated Chhering Dorje and thanked all the supporters.
