Avny Lavasa tours Nubra sub-division, reviews progress of ongoing works

The Deputy Commissioner, Leh Avny Lavasa interacted with the people of Nubra subdivision during a two-day visit on November 23 at the Tourist centre, Diskit, Nubra. 
 
Tsering Angchuk, Councillor Diskit constituency demanded resettlement of Khardong Rongjuk village, DG set in Khemma to provide electricity supply and promotion of Pashmina production in Tangyer and Diggar. 

Higher Sec. School, Diskit demanded completion of a multipurpose hall, wooden panelling in the classrooms, drinking water and medical facilities in the hostel and filling up of the post of school Principal and Lecturers. 

Kunzang Lotos, Councillor, Hunder constituency requested for the electric supply in Hunder, engagement of local labourers in GREF and to address the issue regarding the utility of water channels of villagers that run through the land under Indian army in Partapur. 

He further demanded DG set in Pachathang, to resume construction work of Shatse Daksna Bridge, to open a medical sub-center in Nungsted, filling up the post of Tehsilder in Sumoor, BDO in Panamik and to remove inner line permit for outside labourers considering their shortage in the valley.

Avny Lavasa directed the concern officers to take immediate action in redressing the issues. She urged upon the villagers to mobilize women SHGs to promote pashmina in the valley and gave assurance to look into their demands on a priority basis. 

A review meeting with the block level officers and assessment of the progress of ongoing works were also carried out.
