Stanzin Phandey informed the Lt. Governor that the delegation had appeared for the 2023 teacher recruitment examination and had cleared both papers of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). He requested that the Lt. Governor initiate the operation of waiting lists for candidates who participated in the examination conducted by the Leh Autonomous Hill Development-Subordinate Services Recruitment Board last year. The delegation also sought an expedited recruitment process to fill the vacant teaching posts.

Principal Secretary Sanjeev Khirwar briefed the Lt. Governor on the minimum qualifications required for teaching positions as outlined in the Recruitment Rules prepared by UT Ladakh. He also updated the Lt. Governor on the Supreme Court's judgement regarding the qualifications for teachers.

In response, the Lt. Governor directed Principal Secretary Sanjeev Khirwar to activate the waiting lists for candidates from the previous examination. He also indicated that new recruitment for teaching positions would commence once there is clarity on the qualifications required for primary and middle school teachers, in accordance with the Supreme Court's ruling.
