Army organised Swatcch Bharat Abhiyan in LoC villages in Kargil

The army and the residents near LoC villages in Kargil district, organized a cleanliness drive on December 4. 

In Kharul and Hardass villages near the Line of control 22 JAT 121 infantry and the locals have taken part in the drive. However district Treasury officer, Manohar Lal was the guest of the program while Subaidar Ashok Kumar and Sunil Dutt were monitoring the entire drive.

Talking to the residents, Subedar Ashok Kumar said that the cleanliness drive step has been taken by Col. Jasbinder Singh Gill.

He further said, “We are going to organise the same drive in various other villages of Kargil district and the aim behind this drive is to aware people and give a sense of responsibility towards cleanliness”.

District treasury officer Manohar Laal said, “The Prime Minister has initiated the campaign and he alone can’t fulfill this dream of clean India until we will not join hands”.

“We all perform prayers which is an aim to clean our heart but at the same time we have to clean our environment as well,” he added.

The villagers on their part welcomed the initiative taken by Indian army and asked them to continue this drive and demanded to install some dustbins in their Mohallas in village.
