A meeting was convened by Avny Lavasa, DC with the district officers on May 8 at Conference hall, Leh. 

Avny Lavasa informed that ₹ 14.60 crores under BADP have been approved for the year 2018-19. The amount will be used for the construction and up-gradation of roads, building community gathering centres, footpaths, link roads, culverts, minor irrigation channel in the borders belts of the Leh district. 

The officers of Rural Development department and R&B were directed to gear up their men and machinery in completing the ongoing developmental works in Nyoma, Tangtse, Nubra, and Khaltse within stipulated time frame by using quality material. 

Stressing on the provision of basic amenities to the border people at par with urban pockets of the district, she directed the officers to reach out the people and solve development related issues at their doorstep without any delay.

She asked the officers of the concerned department to personally monitor the ongoing development works in their respective jurisdiction areas.

Councilors of Nyoma, Tangtse, Nubra, and Khaltsi were also present on the occasion.
