LEH :
Marking an achievement by connecting Leh district through Airtel data network services, Airtel 4G services was launched on December 12 at Hotel Singge Palace, Leh.

While congratulating for launching Airtel 4G, Dr. Sonam Dawa, CEC said, “In the past, we have hoped that with the coming up of BSNL network in Ladakh, we will be digitally connected with the rest of the world. But the slow network condition and irregular services made people tired and frustrated”.

Terming it as a best New Year gift for the people of Ladakh, Dr. Sonam Dawa said, “Today there is no one who doesn’t use smartphones. With this super fast internet facility provided by Airtel, there will be both positive and negative impact on them. Parents should supervise their children and guide them to use the facilities for the best.”

Raveendra Dessai, Chief Operating Officer, Bharti Airtel, J&K said, “We had a dream to connect Leh with the rest through the data network, but it took a long time to achieve because of extremely difficult terrain and harsh climatic condition of Ladakh and that of Zojila pass. So getting the optic fiber cable from these passes covered with snow most of the time is very challenging. We are very happy that after such a tireless effort of all concerned members of Airtel, we achieved this dream”.

“We invite our customers to avail the facility by upgrading the Airtel 4G SIM. Customers can choose a range of affordable plans and packs that offer large bundles of data along with unlimited calling facilities”, he added.

The Airtel 4G was launched in Kargil and Drass on the second day.

Ajay Khajuria, Sale Manager Head, Vijayant Gupta, Zonal Business Manager, Jammu, Pankaj Sharma, Airtel Payment Bank, Shahzad Saleem, Zonal Sale Manager, Stanzin Thubwang, Manager, Airtel Leh and the retailers of Airtel were also present.
