326 candidates appear in written examination for constable's post

The written test for the post of constable in J&K, Executive police and armed police was held on 20th march at Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, Leh. A total of 326 candidates appeared in the examination.
The test was held for the candidates who have cleared their physical endurance test (PET), which was held on 3rd December 2015 at ITBP 5th Battalion ground Choglamsar.
The examination was ensured “Transparent Recruitment Process” (TRP) by the deployment of supervisors, invigilators and assistant invigilators. At district level A.K Mohanty, Additional Director General of police is the Chairman, T. Gyalpo SSP Leh was the controller of the written examination, deputy controller, DYSP HQ and invigilator were hired from Delhi Public School.
During the examination District police, Leh arranged installation of 13 video graph cameras in each examination halls to ensure transparent examination.
The total applicants for the post of Constable were 879. Out of which 719 appeared for Physical Endurance Test. The total vacancy was 46 seats. In the Physical test 322 females were selected out of 482 whereas a total no. of 15 males was selected out of 237.
T.Gyalpo, SSP Leh said that for the first time in the history of police recruitment this examination was conducted in a very strict and fair manner based on the video camera in each examination hall. The paper was sent directly from Jammu which was sealed and stamped in the box. The question paper was opened and sealed in the presence of the magistrate and three candidates. We have packed the CD along with the OMR answer sheet, and sent to Jammu so that it could be fairer and in more transparent.”
He further added that the result will be declared within a month.
