More than 100 women participated in LPG Panchayat organised by Taisuru Indane Gramin (Indian Oil Corporation Ltd) at Dak Bungalow, Taisuru, Kargil.

 

Talking about the Ujjwala Diwas, Syed Abass Rizvi, Councillor, Taisuru constituency stated that the Ujjwala has made cooking more easy and less time consuming for the rural folk.

He appealed the beneficiaries to discuss the benefits of LPG as a clean fuel with their friends and family.

Altaf and Sadad Hussain from Taisuru Indane demonstrated safety measures to the women. A total of 25 Ujjwala LPG connections were also distributed.

 

Block Medical Officer, Panikhar briefed about the health benefits of using LPG over cow dung and firewood.

She said that the soot and smoke produced by cow dung and firewood is injurious to health and also damages home and environment.

 

The beneficiaries shared their experiences of LPG at the Panchayat.
