194 Agniveer recruits join Ladakh Scouts Regiment in impressive Passing Out Parade

A spectacular Passing Out Parade was held at the Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre, Leh, to mark the induction of 194 well-trained Agniveer recruits into the Ladakh Scouts Regiment as Agniveer Soldiers on June 5.

The ceremonial event, conducted in keeping with the finest traditions of the Indian Army, was reviewed by Major General Gurpal Singh, YSM, SM, General Officer Commanding, Uniform Force, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The parade was attended by a host of military and civil dignitaries, along with the proud families of the new Agniveers.

The young soldiers, hailing from various regions of Ladakh, marched with precision and pride, ready to serve the Nation with dedication and honour. In his address, the Reviewing Officer congratulated the Agniveers on their exceptional turnout and urged them to dedicate their lives in service to the country as proud members of the Indian Army.

He also commended the families for encouraging their sons to join the regiment and lauded the Ladakh Scouts for their distinguished service, outstanding performance, and acts of valour in diverse operational scenarios. Major General Singh called upon the young soldiers to continue striving for excellence and to uphold the sovereignty of the Nation with unwavering commitment, in keeping with the ethos of the Indian Army.

As a mark of recognition, medals were awarded to Agniveers who excelled during training. The Gaurav Padak was also presented to parents who have served or are currently serving in the Army and whose children were inducted into the regiment as Agniveers—a proud and emotional moment for the families in attendance.

The event was a tribute to courage, discipline, and patriotism, symbolizing a new chapter for these young recruits in their journey of selfless service to the Nation.
