By-election of Martselang constituency, LAHDC, Leh to be held on September 19. Polling parties for all the 10 polling stations of the constituency along with security forces are dispatched on September 18 from the District Election Office, Leh.

A.G. Zargar, Deputy District Election Officer said that 40 polling personnel with adequate security men have been deployed for 10 polling stations of Martselang constituency.

He said that 4,293 voters of 8 villages of Martselang constituency including Stok, Matho, Stakna, Martselang, Changa, Chomoling, Shang and Chokdo will exercise their voting franchise on September 19 to elect their Councilor.

The bi-election in Martselang constituency will be held in a triangular contest between Stanzin Chosphel of BJP, Tashi Norboo of INC and Rinchen Gyurmet Independent candidate. 

The counting of votes and declaration of results shall be held on September 23.
