The nominated members of the 5th Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, took their oath on September 24 at the Syed Mehdi Auditorium Hall, Kargil. 

The ceremony was organized by the Election Authority, with the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Malik Shabeer Ahmad, administering the oath to the three nominated members: Namgyal Phuntsok, Regzin Gurmath, and Hakima Khatoon.

Prominent attendees included the Chairman/CEC of LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Executive Councilor for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (RD&PRD), Er. Punchok Tashi, Deputy Commissioner and Election Authority, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Suhail Ahmad, along with councilors, district officials, religious leaders, and other dignitaries.
