75.52% voter turnout recorded in 21-Thangdumbur constituency By-election

The Election Authority of Kargil successfully conducted the by-election for the 21-Thangdumbur, LAHDC Constituency on October 5, with a voter turnout of 75.52%.

SSP Kargil, Shree Ram R.; Additional Deputy Commissioner and Election Officer, Suhail Ahmad; ASP Mujeeb Rehman; ACR/Deputy Election Officer, Mohd Sharif; SE PWD/Observer, Skalzang Dorjay; Returning Officer, Aashiq Hussain; ARO, Ghulam Hassan; Sub Divisional Magistrate/Tehsildar, Sankoo, Asgar Ali, and other officials from the District Administration and Ladakh Police were present on duty throughout the constituency.

The officials visited all five polling stations, as well as the strong room, counting hall, and control room periodically to ensure the smooth conduct of the election process.
Voters from all demographics expressed their gratitude to the District Administration for the efficient organization of the by-election and praised their efforts to provide enhanced facilities for voting through EVMs.

The Election Authority commended the Ladakh Police, District Administration officers, polling personnel, political parties, candidates, media, transport stakeholders, and all voters for their cooperation in ensuring the successful conduct of the polling process.
