Rate Fixation Committee under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Tsering Motup approved the partial revision in the rate list of vegetables and fruits in Kargil district on April 29.
 
Assistant Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Kargil state that the rates shall remain in force temporarily till further orders. Any violation of this sale rate shall be liable for execution under the Essential Commodities Act.  
 
All the vegetable sellers have been directed to display the rate list for information of the general public.
 
Meanwhile, the Rate Fixation Committee under the chairmanship of the ADC Kargil has also approved the fixation of the rate list in respect of mutton and chicken/ live birds (broiler) for the year 2021 which shall prevail within the urban and rural areas of the district with immediate effect. 
 
The orders issued in this regard states that the rates are purely temporary and will be revised as and when required and any violation of the sale rates shall be liable for execution under the Essential Commodities Act.
 
The orders further stated that all the butcher and chicken seller shops shall display the rates at their shops and conspicuous places for information of the general public.
