Police Station Khaltse arrested one bootlegger and recovered illegal liquor from his possession on January 16.

On January 16, Police Station Khaltse received information regarding the illegal sale of liquor at village Saspol from a general store shop, on this, a police party of Police Station Khaltse rushed to the spot, conducted a raid, and recovered 18 bottles of beer, 08 bottles of Rum from the accused Sonam Stanzin S/o Sonam Tsultim R/o Saspol. 

The case is registered under FIR No 02/2023 at Police Station Khaltse under the relevant section of the law and an investigation has started.

District Police Leh urges the general public to come forward with any information regarding any case of narcotic smuggling, drug peddling, or bootlegging/illegal liquor selling so that the precious lives of the people are saved from this menace.
