A letter was submitted appealing the Government of India to confer Padma Bhushan award to Thupstan Chewang, Member of Parliament on December 7 by All Rong Welfare Society.

The letter reads, “Shri Thupstan Chewang has done a commendable job for overall development in Ladakh region particularly in the field of education, health, agriculture, and electricity to reach every nook and corner of the region and far-flung areas.”

The copy of the letter was submitted to Mehbooba Mufti, CM, J&K and Dr. Sonam Dawa, CEC.
