The people of Lankerchey village have been without power supply since 15 April till now due to the failure of DG engine. The locals said that they have been facing lot of problems due to power cuts and alleged that even after paying the fees on time, they are kept deprived of electricity despite repeated plea to the Department of PDD kargil to look into the matter and restore the energy supply to the said area of Lankerchey. The locals further added that they would stage protest demonstration against the authority if they fail to solve the matter immediately.
