Hill Council Leh introduces Ladakh’s rich culture in Vietnam Promoting tourism and strengthening cultural bonds
In a historic move, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh, spearheaded by Chairman/CEC Tashi Gyalson, joined hands with Lam Dong province in Vietnam to unveil ‘Ladakh Unveiled,’ a groundbreaking cultural exchange and tourism introduction program. This momentous event commenced with great pomp and fervor at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City, Lam Dong, Vietnam, on December 27.
Marking a significant milestone, this program signifies the beginning of extensive collaboration between Lam Dong province, Vietnam, and Ladakh region, India. Hosted by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Lam Dong, in partnership with Samten Hills Dalat spiritual cultural tourism area, it symbolizes a bridge of cultural and touristic connections.
Expressing immense joy at the success of the event, Chairman/CEC Tashi Gyalson expressed his pride in presenting Ladakh’s splendor to the Vietnamese people. He emphasized the growing bilateral cooperation between India and Vietnam, encompassing trade, economics, and most importantly, cultural exchanges.
“As a Ladakhi representative, it's an honor to showcase our homeland’s unique wonders. This journey in Da Lat, Vietnam, will etch its mark in Ladakh’s history. I extend heartfelt thanks to Samten Hills Dalat, the government of Dalat, and especially His Eminence Jorfel Rinpoche for enabling this international event,” remarked CEC Gyalson.
Highlighting Ladakh's geographical and cultural marvels, CEC Gyalson encouraged every Vietnamese individual to become an ambassador for Ladakh, unveiling its hidden treasures. He urged Vietnam's esteemed travel companies and Ladakh's expert tourism stakeholders to forge a lasting bond for a robust relationship.
Anticipating that the cultural exchange and tourism introduction program will lay the foundation for a lasting relationship, CEC Gyalson expressed optimism about its future impact.
During the event, Vice Chairman Pham S of Lam Dong province commended India's achievements and Ladakh's rich cultural and tourism values. He emphasized Vietnam’s tourism potential and expressed a desire to foster a strong cultural and tourism bond between Lam Dong and Ladakh, paving the way for multifaceted cooperation.
Representatives from LAHDC Leh, including Councillor Lobzang Sherap, Councillor Tsering Namgyal, along with various tourism and cultural stakeholders, attended, aiming to showcase Ladakh's cultural and tourism potential in Vietnam. Lam Dong province's leaders regarded this exchange program as a pivotal event fostering a friendly relationship between the two regions.
