A day-long district level Multilingual Mushaira was organised by Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (LAACL), Kargil at Academy Hall Kargil on December 9.

More than 26 senior poets and emerging talents from across the district, showcasing Urdu, Balti, Purgi, Bhoti, and Sheena, Dardi languages, actively participated in the event.

Padma Shri awardee, Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat extended gratitude to LAACL Kargil for organizing the program and conveyed his optimism for the continuation of similar enriching initiatives in the times to come.

Zakir Hussain Khan, Head Assistant of LAACL Kargil provided insight into the purpose behind the event. He also highlighted the forthcoming initiatives of LAACL.

He emphasized that LAACL Kargil is dedicated to offering logistics and support to nurture local art and literature in the district. Urdu and Purgi poet Sajjad Ali Shujaat conducted the program proceedings of the poetic symposium.
