Executive Councillor, Rural Development, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee chaired a meeting with the concerned stakeholders on June 27 and reviewed the preparations for the upcoming 3rd edition of the Nomadic Festival 2023, scheduled to be held from July 15-16 at Hanle village in Changthang.

Councillor Chushul, Konchok Stanzin; Councillor Nyoma, Ishey Spalzang; Councillor Korzok, Karma Namdak; Councillor Kungyam, Thinles Nurboo; Nominated Councillor Konchok Tsephel and Deputy Secretary, LAACL Leh, Tsewang Paljor attended the meeting.
 
Deliberating on the arrangements, the meeting decided that a cultural troupe from villages across the Changthang region would participate presenting a kaleidoscopic view of the nomadic lifestyle and traditions. The meeting also discussed other aspects, including logistical support required from concerned departments and agencies to successfully conduct the festival.
 
Regarding the logistical support, EC Tashi Yakzee shared that he would direct the concerned departments/agencies to ensure that the requirements are provided well within time.  
 
It was informed that Councillor Nyoma and Dy Secretary LAACL Leh visited the site to take stock of the necessary arrangements to be made for the celebration.
 
The Nomadic Festival aims to promote the untouched nomadic culture and showcase the rich tradition, heritage, and lifestyle of the Changathang region.
