New procedures to be followed in allotting land and devising housing schemes for poor families of Leh district.

This was discussed during a meeting of land-related policy and issues of Leh district convened by CEC, Hill Council, Leh Tashi Gyalson on January 1 at Council Secretariat.

Deputy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk and Deputy Commissioner/Chief Executive Officer, LAHDC, Leh Sachin Kumar Vaishya was also present in the meeting.

Tashi Gyalson directed DC Leh to ensure strict monitoring and action on land mafias involved in illegal land encroachment within Leh district. Also, he asked him to frame land regularization policy and other policies under LAHDC Rules and Acts.
