An inter-school tournament for the middle schools of Leh, Chuchot, Kharu, Durbuk and Nyoma block organised by District Youth Services and Sports concluded on May 22 at NDS Sports complex Leh.

Moses Kunzang, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief Guest said that there is a tremendous improvement and changes in sports activities in terms of infrastructure, performance and participation as compared to the past years.

Encouraging the students, he said that physical education keeps oneself away from sicknesses and student must participate as much as they can in various sports activities or tournaments.

He further added that sports teach us several moral disciplines like punctuality, how to be committed to one’s own goal, easygoing nature and hardworking etc. which will be further benefiting a lot in our life long development. 

Later position holders were honoured with medals and certificates.
