North West Frontier, ITBP, Leh to organise River Rafting Expedition from August 9-12
North-West Frontier, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) to organise a ‘Frontier Level River Rafting Expedition-2021’ on Zanskar river from August 9 to 12.
A total of 55 participants including 8 women, and 7 Ladakh Police personnel will be participating in the expedition. Preparation for the expedition is being carried out under the leadership of Inspector General, North-West Frontier, ITBP Leh, UT Ladakh, Lhari Dorjee Lhatoo.
The expedition will be flagged off on August 9 from Padum, Zanskar, and will culminate on August 12 at Sangam, Nimoo, Leh.
The rafting expedition is aimed at enhancing skills and cohesiveness amongst the participants in water sports to provide them with a better platform to put their best during national and international competitions. The ITBP would be organising many other activities such as sports, medical camps to strengthen their relationship with the locals.
Meanwhile, the officials of ITBP, Leh also briefed about the booklet titled ‘Guardians of the Environment’ published by MHA, Govt. of India.
Chhota Ram Jat, dig, North West Frontier ITBP briefed about the contribution of ITBP towards environment protection and as a rescue force in times of natural disasters.
