Ladakh Boxer Dilshad Ali shines in National tournaments, CEC praises his dedication
Chairman/CEC Adv. Tashi Gyalson, along with Executive Councillor Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor, met with Dilshad Ali on January 27 and extended their congratulations for his outstanding performances in recent national boxing tournaments.
Dilshad Ali represented Ladakh in the 68th National School Games (2024-25), competing in the U-17 Boxing Championship held in Delhi on December 15, 2024. In the 60-63 kg weight category, Dilshad secured a well-deserved third place, showcasing his exceptional skill and determination.
Earlier, Dilshad claimed the gold medal in the 63 kg weight category at the 1st UT Ladakh Boxing Championship, where he represented the Leh District. This event, organized by the Ladakh Amateur Boxing Association in collaboration with the Boxing Federation of India, took place from October 13-15, 2024.
Dilshad further proved his mettle on the national stage at the Khelo India All India Inter SAI Boxing Championship 2024, held at the SAI NCOE in Aurangabad from November 4-17. Competing in the 61 kg weight category in the sub-junior division, he earned the silver medal.
Congratulating Dilshad on his remarkable achievements, CEC Tashi Gyalson and EC Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor commended his dedication, hard work, and determination in bringing pride to Ladakh.
