Administrative Secretary, Ravinder Kumar reviewed the work progress of Synthetic Track of International level, AstroTurf Football and Open Stadium, Spituk, Leh on November 24.

Executive Engineer, PWD (In-charge Chief Engineer, Leh) with his team, CPWD engineer and District Youth Services and Sports officer, Leh were also present.

Keeping in view the ensuing winter months ahead, the Administrative Secretary directed concerned officers to expedite and complete the laying of synthetic Astro-Turf for football by the end of November 2020. 

CPWD engineer informed that the laying of synthetic track shall be started by the mid of March 2020 as the same is not technically feasible during the winter months. The Executive Engineer PWD informed about the construction of Youth Hostel with the capacity of 2000 beds in the south stand and construction of North VIP stand which shall be completed by the next working season.

The Secretary has also directed the PWD and Youth Services and Sports Department to demarcate the land and complete the boundary wall by the end of December 2020.

Later, the secretary has directed all the officials to make sure that all the tendering processes are completed well in time before the start of the next working season.
