ADGP Ladakh inaugurates Police Public Archery Tournament Ladakh Police committed to promote archery says, ADGP Khandare
As a part of 75 Years of India’s Independence-Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Ladakh, S S Khandare inaugurated Police Public Archery Tournament at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium on March 17.
A total of 53 teams from across the Kargil district will be participating in the 2 days tournament.
ADGP, Ladakh said that Ladakh Police is committed to promote and train the local youths in games such as Archery so that they can compete at national and international levels.
He further said that the athletes will be recruited under the patronage of Ladakh Police in the future. He further extended his best wishes to the athletes and the participants of the tournament.
The ADGP along with the other officers also interacted with the Archery players. He said that Ladakh Police has always remained upfront in promoting traditional games of Ladakh. Archery tournaments have been organised by the Ladakh Police in Zanskar and Drass, and this tournament is a continuation of these efforts.
