Workshop held for the Investigating Officers, Kargil

To sharpen the technical and procedural acumen on procedures to be adopted during the cases registered under relevant sections of investigation of NDPS Act, a workshop was held for the Investigating Officers on December 18 at DPO Conference Hall, Kargil.
Arun Gupta, Additional SP, Kargil gave an overview of the necessities of holding such workshops by the District Police. He exerted upon IO to understand and follow the technical and procedural aspects of cases registered under NDPS Act devoid of any lacunae which ultimately shall lead to the conviction of the accused.
Ishtyaq A Kacho, Dy.SP HQ Kargil, Regzin Sangdup, Dy. SP DAR Kargil and Bilal Ahmed Prosecuting Officer gave the detailed lectures on the relevant section of the Act to the participants.
The lectures were followed by question answer session by the Investigating Officers which were in detail clarified by the senior officers present.
During the workshop special emphasis was given on the guidelines and SOPs provided by Home Department and PHQ J&K from time to time where Additional SP, Kargil stressed on these guidelines extensively.
The day-long workshop ended with discussions and a sense of commitment among the Investigating Officers to investigate these cases with flawless procedural and technical expertise.
