Celebrating International Day of World’s Indigenous People, a webinar themed, ‘History, Ethnic, Festival and Culture of Dard-Aryan of Ladakh’ was organised by the Department of Sociology, Government Degree College (GDC), Nubra on August 9.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the unique culture, tradition, language, knowledge system, and the needs of the indigenous people of Ladakh. A total of 25 participants attended the webinar.

Tsewang Gyaltsan, Assistant Professor, GDC Zanskar was the resource person for the webinar and shared his insights on the said theme.

Assistant Professor, Sociology Department, GDC Nubra, Dr. Stanzin Namgyal who is the Convenor of Webinar Organising Committee, started the online session with the opening remarks. Principal, GDC Nubra, Dr. Tsewang Motup also spoke on the occasion.
