The University of Ladakh’s NSS Wing in collaboration with Zero Waste Ladakh (NGO) organised an event to commemorate the 'International Day of Zero Waste' at the Leh Campus, University of Ladakh on March 30.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance and practice of zero waste in daily life.

Volunteers from Zero Waste Ladakh delivered insightful presentations on various themes related to zero-waste practices. The topics covered included ditch single-use plastic, begin your zero waste journey in daily life and sustainable period.

The presentations provided valuable insights and practical tips for embracing a zero-waste lifestyle.

The programme culminated with a discussion session on fostering a zero-waste campus. Students shared innovative and novel solutions to make the university campus more sustainable and eco-friendly.

NSS Programme Coordinator/Dean of Students Welfare, University of Ladakh Dr. Jigmat Dechen along with other faculty members were present at the event. 

Many NSS volunteers and students also participated in the event.
