Team Kargil wins district-level quiz and debate competition organised by District Police
District Police Kargil organised a district-level quiz and debate competition on October 7 as part of the Civil Action Program. Students from various blocks and tehsils across Kargil participated in the event.
The competition aimed to promote intellectual engagement and teamwork among the region's youth. Teams from across Kargil competed on various topics, showcasing their knowledge, communication skills, and critical thinking abilities.
Team Kargil emerged as the winner, securing the 1st position, followed by Team Drass in 2nd place and Team Wakha in 3rd.
Shree Ram R (IPS), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kargil, praised the participants for their dedication and hard work. He emphasized the importance of such events in fostering a spirit of healthy competition, intellectual growth, and civic responsibility. The SSP lauded the students' performances and encouraged them to continue excelling in both academics and extracurricular activities.
Following the competition, a plantation drive was held with the participation of SSP Kargil, police officials, and students. The drive aimed to raise environmental awareness and contribute to the beautification and sustainability of Kargil. Together, they planted several saplings, reinforcing the importance of environmental conservation and community involvement.
The event concluded with the winners receiving certificates and cash rewards from SSP Kargil. All participants were commended for their efforts. District Police Kargil reaffirmed its commitment to organizing more such events to promote education, environmental responsibility, and community well-being.
