Santosh Sukhadeve, District Election Officer/ Deputy Commissioner, Leh flagged off the SVEEP campaign through a mobile democracy van from DC Office Leh on 25 November.

The campaign launch was in connection with the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls for the year 2024. The mobile democracy van will play an important role in disseminating information and encouraging voter participation across the region. 

During the flag-off ceremony, DC Leh emphasized the importance of active citizen involvement in the electoral process. 

The Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls-2024 aims to update and authenticate the voter database, ensuring accuracy and completeness. The SVEEP campaign, driven by the Mobile Democracy Van, will conduct awareness drives, interactive sessions, and on-the-spot registrations to encourage maximum participation from residents.
