Summer Carnival 2024 celebrates local talent and heritage in Drass
As part of the Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Forever In Operations Division organized a Summer Carnival 2024 in Drass. The event, which began on May 28 and culminated on June 3, aimed to promote local talent in sports and showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Drass valley.
The carnival featured a variety of thrilling activities that brought together sports enthusiasts and cultural connoisseurs. Events such as Tent Pegging, Horse Polo, and Archery captivated spectators with impressive displays of skill, agility, and teamwork.
The Chief Guest, Brigadier (Retd) B.D. Mishra, Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, attended the concluding day of the carnival. Students from Army Goodwill Schools delivered scintillating performances, adding to the festive atmosphere. Additional attractions included Hot Air Ballooning and Para Motor displays by Indian Army teams, which were highly appreciated by all attendees.
The Summer Carnival served as a platform for military-civil interaction and highlighted the Indian Army’s commitment to youth empowerment and the promotion of the nation's sports and cultural legacy.
