Special Cell for Women, Kargil in collaboration with Women Police Station Kargil organised an awareness program on the ongoing campaign for 16 days of activism based on the theme UNiTE! Invest to Prevent Violence against Women and Girls at Shakhok Community Hall GM Pore.

The program was participated by SHO Women Police Station Kargil, Social Workers from Special Cell, Sarpanch, Panch and community members.

The Social Workers gave an introduction to the participants about Special Cell for Women and Children and its services. They discussed gender-based violence, child abuse, child rights, and aware of various services and schemes of the Social Welfare Department and Rural Development, and the Panchayat Raj Department.

The participants were also enlightened about cybercrime and its preventive measures. 
SHO Women Police Station Kargil informed the participants about the location of the newly established Women's Police at Petrol Pump and discussed violence against women.

Social workers distributed flyers beside shared locations and CUJ numbers with the participants.
