Special cell for women, Kargil raises awareness on gender issues at Pashkum school
The Special Cell for Women, Kargil, in collaboration with the Women Police Station, organized an awareness program at Higher Secondary School, Pashkum, on September 12.
The event featured an introduction by the SHO of the Women's Police Station, who explained the roles and responsibilities of both the Women's Police Station and the Special Cell for Women. Additionally, he provided valuable insights into cybercrime, highlighting the importance of the cyber cell in addressing these issues.
A social worker further enriched the session by delivering a presentation on gender-based discrimination, discussing how it often originates at the grassroots level. The social worker also outlined the various services offered by the Special Cell for Women.
The program saw active participation from both students and staff of the school, fostering greater awareness of crucial social issues.
