Siachen Brigade organises veteran rally in Partapur, Nubra
Showcasing the Indian Army’s commitment towards its veterans, veer naris, widows, and their families, Siachen Brigade at Partapur, Nubra conducted a veteran rally on November 25.
The rally attracted more than 1200 veterans and their dependents from the Nubra Valley including Shayok and Nubra axis.
Commander Siachen Brigade along with other civil dignitaries interacted with the veterans and their dependents during the rally. A number of stalls were also established including stalls for Ex-Servicemen contributory health scheme, Resettlement avenues, Record Office helplines, Defence Pension Disbursing Office, etc. A medical camp was also organised as part of the rally staffed by various specialists to provide advice and medicines.
While addressing the rally, Commander Siachen Brigade pledged the Indian Army’s solidarity with the retired fraternity and assured the gathering of all possible assistance to ensure that the Veterans, Veer Naris, and their families are provided quality health care and the earliest resolution of their issues. The rally concluded with felicitation of veterans and Veer Naris.
The rally provided a joint forum for the veterans and their families to interact with both military and civil agencies and resolve their pending issues and lived up to its motto of "Sampark - Swasthya - Sahuliyat" by reaching out to the maximum number of veterans and families and resolving their issues.
