Shab-e-Barat observed across Kargil
Shab-e-Barat the night of reverence and divine blessings was observed by the Muslims with reverence, devotion, and religious fervor.
The mosques, Imam Bargah, tombs, high mountains, graveyards, and houses were illuminated.
Shab-e-Barat is the night of fortune and forgiveness, birth anniversary of the 12th Shia Imam, and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on the 15th of Shaban 1444, the eighth month in the Muslim lunar calendar.
Muslim spend the night praying and reciting the holy Quran. They visit the graveyard of their relative and offer sweet, food and light candles in the name of their relative.
Shab-e-Barat was celebrated by Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust & Anjuman-e-Jamiyatul ulama Houziya Elmiya in Kargil with immense religious enthusiasm.
Religious scholars highlighted the importance of the night and the teachings of Islam.
They spoke on the philosophy of occultation of Imam Mehdi A.S and requested the people to follow the path of Islam which is peace and communal harmony in the country.
