Secretary, Information Technology, Ladakh, Saugat Biswas, chaired a meeting regarding the end-to-end Digitisation of State DBT Schemes and their on-boarding on mobile platform on July 29.
 
It was informed that the Government has set the target of end-to-end digitization of major DBT schemes and their availability on UMANG mobile platform as apps in time to coincide with the 75th Anniversary of India's Independence i.e. 15 August 2022. 
 
Secretary Biswas added that the adoption of DBT will empower Departments to monitor funds flow to the last level and track beneficiaries. He reviewed the DBT mobile application for transferring money under various welfare schemes through the Aadhaar-based Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) to beneficiaries.

Directions were issued to all the Departments to achieve DBT transactions using Govt. of India portals or through the portals being developed by the Information Technology Department of Ladakh. 

“The Information Technology Department will help the Administrative Departments to develop web applications for end to end digitization of schemes for delivery of G2C services,” he added. 

Ladakh will coordinate the integration of available central DBT portals of various departments with a single DBT portal of the MHA.

Biswas further directed all the directors to examine G2C or G2B Services in terms of Direct Benefit Transfer that needs to be made online or if there is any technical limitation in activating the DBT through the Central Government portal then the IT Department may be approached
