Executive Councilor, Urban Dev LAHDC, Kargil, Kacho Mohammad Feroz convened a review meeting on December 6 regarding sewage treatment pants (STPs) in Kargil town.

Detailed discussions were held on different aspects related to implementing Sewerage Treatment Plants in Kargil town. Detailed insights were given on various components of the projects.

The project, design of STPs, challenges regarding the project, approach, and methodology, and various other vital components were discussed.

EC directed to prepare DPR for the sites of the STPs for which land has been allotted.  He directed that regarding the identification of new land for the pending sites of STPs, the concerned consultancy in collaboration with the Revenue Department and Municipal Committee will conduct a final survey so that revenue papers of land are finalized and work starts at the earliest.

He further directed the concerned officers to clear all the pendencies related to the project. He said it is a vital project for the development of Kargil town and expressed hope that it will resolve the sewerage problems in Kargil town in the future.
