In the history of education more than 250 newly recruited teachers pledge to work with full dedication and honesty on 8 March at Syed Mehdi Memorial Hall Kargil during an orientation programme. It was organized by J&K General Line Teachers of Kargil.

Chairman DSSRB and CEO LAHDC Kargil Kacho Hassan Khan were present at the oath ceremony. The oath was drafted by the Deputy Commissioner.

This is the first of its kind orientation programme for newly recruited teachers in Kargil and everyone appreciated the efforts of the J&K GLTF Kargil. 

The organization presented a pilot project as 'Gozukk' and requested the authorities to implement the project for which the list of voluntaries has been submitted to LAHDC and CEO Office Kargil.

He also requested the newly selected teachers to keep themselves at bay from politics and other issues in which departments involve and try to give their best to improve the educational scenario.

Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Kargil Haji Hanifa Jan was the Chief Guest, Kacho Hassan Khan CEO/ Deputy Commissioner LAHDC Kargil, was the Guest of Honour and Sonam Wangchuk, world renowned educationist and Founder SECMOL was the special guest and keynote speaker.

Sonam Wangchuk shared his experience regarding education and reforms in education with the newly selected teachers. He asked the youths to come forward and adopt the sense of honesty and selfless service so that their products will come in the form of a good human being with moral values.

Regarding the project Gozukk Wangchuk told that in other places the projects and suggestion came from upper level to bottom level and hence fails.  But here in Kargil, the suggestions and projects are coming from the bottom up which is a very good sign for the improvement of education scenario.

The focus of education should be the students rather than transfer policies and others and such issues have reduced the importance of the main focus point the student and teachers should be dedicated to bringing some change in the scenario, Wangchuk added.

Haji Hanifa Jan appreciates the efforts of the GLTF Kargil assured all possible help for the implementation of the Project presented by the forum. He told that the main objective of the LAHDC Kargil is to improve the status of education in Government run Schools and for which this initiative from the teacher community itself is a welcome step.

Later he called a meeting of the concerned authorities and discussed at length the pilot project 'Gozukk' in Kargil.

During the meeting, the CEC Directed the Deputy CEO to implement the Pilot Project Gozukk within no time after the adjustment of General Line teachers.'

The meeting was attended by Executive Councilor Tsering Angdus and Mohsin Ali, Sonam Wangchuk, Founder SECMOL, Deputy CEO Mohammad Iqbal Lone, Headquarter Assistant to DC Kargil Shabir Hussain, President GLTF Mustafa Kamal, General Secretary Nassiruddin Khaffi and other members.
