Oriental Bank of Commerce opens its branch in Leh
The branch in Leh will have the facilities of deposits, retail advances (Vehicle loan, Housing loan, Education loan), Mudra loan, loans to small traders, POS and payment Gateway facility, MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) loans, Hotel budget loans, Personal loans, Locker facility, I-banking, SMS facility, Mobile banking, anywhere banking and free ATM Debit card.
Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) was established on February 19, 1943, in Lahore, Pakistan under its founding father, Late Rai Bahadur Lala Sohan Lal, the first Chairman of the Bank. It is one of the public sector banks in India. Within four years of coming into existence, the country partitioned, the Bank shifted its Registered Office from Lahore to Amritsar. The Oriental Bank of Commerce was nationalized on April 15, 1980, and is ranked 19 among the 20 nationalised banks.
