One day workshop on the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) was organised by Public Works Department (PWD), Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, Zanskar on August 29 at Dak Bungalow Padum.

The workshop was organised as a part of the series of ongoing programmes under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and to observe the 2nd phase of Paani Maah. Engineers of concerned departments, PRI members, and members of Village Water Sanitation Committee Zanskar attended the workshop.

Experts of water testing from the District Water Sanitation Committee, Kargil enlightened the participants on how to check the quality of drinking water.

Assistant Executive Engineer, Phurbo Sangdup and other speakers urged the PRI members to take full benefit from such workshops to extend maximum benefits to the local population.

Meanwhile, water testing kits were distributed among the PRI members on the occasion.
