NIELIT organises training on Information and Communication Technology 70 government employees participate in three-day workshop

A three-day workshop on Information & Communication Technology for Government employees of J&K was started on July 27 at NIELIT, Leh. Sponsored by Department of Information Technology, J&K the workshop was organised by NIELIT Leh, department under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The experts focused on providing practical training to the participants in order to help them reach their full potential in the field of Information & Communication Technology.
The training was imparted to 70 government employees including 35 each of gazetted and non gazetted officers of both Leh and Kargil district.
Chief Guest of the occasion, Avny Lavasa, DC appreciated the initiative of NIELIT Leh. She assured to support the workshop and gave her best wishes to the participants.
Phuntsog Toldan, Deputy Director, NIELIT Leh informed that experts will impart training on info security, blogging, cloud computing, latest technology like IOT and basics of ICT during the three-day workshop.
Talking about NIELIT he said, National Institute of Electronics of Information Technology (NIELIT) is the HRD arm of the ministry of electronics and information technology, Govt. of India which is into various activities like R&d, Capacity building, Consultancy and S/W development.
He also informed the 3 years BCA degree program in collaboration with Kashmir University which will start for the first time in Ladakh. The program will be later on upgraded to MCA and B-Tech programs which will benefit the students of Leh and Kargil.
NIELIT was set-up on August 2013 in Leh. It has started hosting typing test for District SSRB recruitments and online recruitment exams for SSC, CGL, Banking, Air Force in which more than 1000 candidates have appeared till date. Workshop & seminar on digital payment and cashless transactions programs to the merchants of Leh, Information Security Workshop to over 100 Govt. employee of Leh district and program on digital India week with the 500 Students of Degree College has also been carried out.
