Executive Councilor, Phunchok Tashi inaugurated new public library at Tungri Thang in Karsha Block on July 18.

The library, constructed and funded by the Rural Development Department, aims to support local residents of Tungri with educational resources, especially books for competitive exams. It's a significant step towards promoting literacy and learning within the community.

Agriculture Officer, Tsering Norboo; Block Development Officer Karsha, Tsewang Rigzin, community members, and students of Tungri, Tahan and Shamuling were also present during the inauguration ceremony.

EC Tashi commended the initiative, highlighting its role in enhancing education and knowledge sharing in Tungri Thang. The library's collection includes a variety of books curated to meet the educational needs of residents.

The participants had the opportunity to explore the library's resources and discuss future plans for its expansion.
