Meeting held to strengthen Satellite campus, Leh

With an effort to resolve all the issues and problems of Satellite Campus, Leh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, CEC, LAHDC, Leh and Prof. Farooq Ahmad Khan, Rector, Satellite Campus, Leh had a detail discussion on December 15 at Council Secretariat.
Prof. Farooq Ahmad Khan with more than 35 years of teaching, research and administrative experience is a newly appointed Rector of the Satellite Campus, Leh.
Welcoming Prof. Farooq Ahmad Khan for taking new responsibility in Leh, he extended his best wishes and hoped that under his leadership the Satellite Campus, Leh would amicably streamline by resolving all the issues and problems.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal stressed on bringing satisfying results through the campus in the coming days and assured all possible support from Council so that Leh Campus could emerge as one of the best campuses in India.
Prof. Farooq Ahmad Khan informed about the four courses including Geology, Geography, English, and Tourism in the campus.
He said that he had met DC/CEO Leh, Joint Director Education Ladakh, Principal Food Craft Institute Leh, Vice President LBA Ladakh and Director Ladakh Arts and Media Organisation (LAMO) to discuss potential subjects and skill development programs that could be introduced at the Leh campus.
Discussion of various needed measures such as the introduction of relevant potential subjects and diploma courses along with other important issues was carried on.
