\r\nMembers of LAHDC, Leh and Avny Lavasa, DC, Leh convened their first introductory meeting on September 18 at Council Secretariat, Leh.\r\n

\r\nThe meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Sonam Dawa, CEC in which all the Executive Councilors and the Councilors of LAHDC were present.\r\n

\r\n

\r\nA detail summery about Council structure, its constitution, and working style was briefed. As a mark of respect to the distinct culture of Ladakh and under which the LAHDC was actually achieved, Chief Executive Councillor also highlighted the council decision to wear traditional attire by all the Government officials on every Monday. Also, a decision to ride a bicycle on every Saturday was informed.\r\n

\r\nHe also urged upon the Deputy Commissioner Leh to see and act on the possible implementation of the decisions.\r\n

\r\nAvni Lavasa, Deputy Commissioner said that Leh has a pleasant working environment and all important issues shall be amicably resolved with the guidance, support, and cooperation from the Hill Council and the people of Leh district. \r\n
