Ladakh NCC cadets shine at Khelo India Winter Games 2025
NCC cadets from Ladakh made the nation proud by winning multiple medals at the prestigious Khelo India Winter Games 2025, recently held in Leh. Showcasing exceptional talent, discipline, and determination, the cadets excelled across various sporting disciplines, securing gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Cadet Stanzin Jampal of 1 Ladakh Battalion NCC, Leh, a Class 11 student at Government Higher Secondary School, Chuchot Shamma, emerged as a promising ice-skating talent. Competing in the 5th edition of the Khelo India Winter Games, he won a silver medal in the 1600m mixed relay and two bronze medals in the 1000m and 500m long track events.
Similarly, Cadet Padama Angmo of 1 Ladakh Battalion NCC, a Class 10 student at Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School, Leh, won a silver medal in the 1000m short track event and a gold medal in the 1600m mixed relay.
These achievements highlight the NCC’s dedication to fostering physical fitness, leadership, and national pride among the youth. The cadets' rigorous training and resilience set a benchmark for excellence, inspiring athletes across the country.
