As part of the ‘National Safety Week’ celebration 2023, an awareness program themed, “Our Aim-No Harm” for the workers and employers on NH 01 was held on March 6.

Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kargil, Raziya Khatoon gave awareness to workers regarding the importance of safety at workplaces which includes wearing PPE, being mindful and follow safety signs, using right equipment for the right task, report of issues immediately to higher authorities.

Raziya Khatoon also interacted with the employers which include officials of BRO at worksites and directed them to follow all the safety protocols at workplaces. She informed the workers about the possible risks at workplaces and how to respond in such situations.

ALC Kargil briefed about the celebration of National Safety Week being celebrated from March 4 to 10.

National Safety Day is observed to highlight the importance of safety in all spheres of life to prevent mishaps and accidents caused due to negligence or lack of awareness.
