L-G Mishra meets Ex-Servicemen Welfare Society & Ex-Servicemen League Ladakh
Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) met a delegation from the Ex-Servicemen Welfare Society led by its President, Subedar Sonam Rigzen (Retd) and General Secretary, Subedar Rinchen Zangpo (Retd), at Raj Niwas on February 26.
Sonam Rigzen congratulated Brig (Dr) BD Mishra on assuming the charge of the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. He informed about the functioning of the Zila Sainik Board and the approval given by the Centre for the formation of the Rajya Sainik Board in Ladakh. He requested for sanctioning of a Children-cum-Elder’s Park with essential open gym facilities at Ibex Colony.
Lieutenant Governor assured to look into their matter.
A delegation from Ex-Servicemen League Ladakh led by its President, Honorary Captain Sonam Murup met Lieutenant Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at Raj Niwas. He informed about the strength of ex-Servicemen in Ladakh and various activities conducted by them for the development of Ladakh.
L-G praised the Agniveer scheme launched by the Indian Army and asked the members of the Ex-Servicemen League Ladakh to assist the aspiring youth from Ladakh during the Agniveer recruitment drives to fill the vacant posts to enable them to become better and skilled citizens who will work for the development of Ladakhi society.
