Review meeting for the preparation of Independence Day celebration was convened by Vikas Kundal, DC on July 24 in Kargil.

The main function of the day will be held at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium, Biamathang while similar functions will be held at sub-division levels also. Contingents of different organizations including students of various government and private schools will participate in the march past parade.

Vikas Kundal directed the district heads to ensure the participation of the staff on the function.

Discussions were held on the decoration of the main venue ground, seating arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water and tanker service, barricading of venue, medical aid camp, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders, transportation facilities, invitations, cleanliness and sanitation measures.

Special emphasis was also laid on refreshments, transportation, mobile toilets and changing room facilities for participating students.
