A review meeting was convened to check the pace of work on tourism infrastructural development projects in Kargil district on May 23 at Council Secretariat, Kargil.

Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, Kargil chaired the meeting with the officers of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and National Building Construction Company (NBCC).

The status of on-going works on the construction of Tourist Reception Center (TRC) and log huts, cafeteria at Minamarg, Sankoo, Panikhar and Shapath were discussed. 

 

Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan underlined the importance of these projects in the provision of improved facilities for the tourists visiting the district. He impressed upon the officers to complete them in the stipulated time frame with a quality.

On the land allotment issue for the construction of projects at Minamarg, Shapath, Sankoo and other areas, he assured that land shall be allotted as per the joint identification conducted by the LAHDC, District Administration and Tourism Department Kargil last year.
